Do you want to make the most of your limited time in Rome, seeing as much of the city as possible? Our VIP Rome in a Day Tour is what you’re looking for!

Duration: about 7 hours (including one hour break for lunch)

We’ve designed our “VIP Rome in a Day Tour” so that you can see as much as possible of Rome in just a few hours, and explore the Eternal City in the most comfortable way. Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel* and you’ll take a free cab ride to the Vatican. Here, you’ll skip the long entrance line and see the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica**.

Let your guide lead you through the marvelous galleries and rooms of this huge museum, and choose the most important artworks to show you, so you won’t miss any of the highlights . Enjoy the colorful frescoes, the tapestries and, the shining marbles. Listen to the story of Michelangelo’s masterpiece: the Sistine Chapel. How did he paint it? Is it true that he was lying on his back while he was working on the ceiling? Did he really do everything by himself? There’s always time for an extra question on a private tour!

After the Sistine Chapel you’ll go straight to St. Peter’s Basilica, using a special shortcut that will allow you to skip the long entrance line. St. Peter’s is the heart of Catholicism: it’s the biggest and the most important church in the world and it’s also one of the most beautiful basilicas ever built. Your private tour guide will show you the majestic masterpieces that decorate St. Peter’s, such as the Pietà by Michelangelo and the Baldacchino (canopy) built by Bernini with the bronze from the Pantheon. Finally, you’ll see the breathtaking St. Peter’s Square, considered one of the greatest architectural masterpieces of all time.

Your “VIP Rome in a Day Tour” will continue with a relaxing stroll through the city center of Rome; you’ll reach the center in comfort, enjoying another free cab ride . The city walk includes the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps (we’re actually one of very few companies to include the Spanish Steps in a full-day tour).

Marvel at the dramatic fountains and buildings that made Rome famous worldwide. Discover the Pantheon, the best preserved ancient Roman temple in the world, and admire its gigantic, monolithic columns.

How many coins are you supposed to throw in the Trevi Fountain, and why? We have the answer! Why are the Steps called “Spanish” if they lead to a French church? Which building was designed by Bernini, and which one was the work of his great rival, the lesser-known genius Borromini? Ask your tour guide and explore the city without worrying about getting lost in the labyrinthine streets of Rome!

At this point you’ll have worked up an appetite: no worries, we’ve included some free time for lunch! We will happily recommend a traditional Italian restaurant where you can sample some delicious local cuisine.

The grand finale of your VIP Rome in a Day Tour will be the most famous and iconic building in Rome: the Colosseum, which you’ll reach with another free cab ride. Skip the line with your guide and discover the history of this iconic site!

When was the vast amphitheater built, and how long did it take to finish? Your private tour guide will be happy to answer. Who were the gladiators, and where did they live? Did they always fight to the death? Learn about the bloody hunting games, and how elephants and lions were unleashed on hunters and criminals condemned to death. Let us tell you about the naval battles that took place in the arena, and the incredible feats of engineering and construction behind the Colosseum and its spectacles.

Don’t waste your time joining a big group tour. Forget about overcrowded buses or the metro. Choose our VIP Rome in a Day tour and see the best of Rome in only one day, in the most comfortable way possible!

** The sights listed will all be included, but the order in which you will see them might change for logistic reasons.
